Assume that tHB going up through a workout is a good thing?

Increasing total hemoglobin concentration during a workout indicates that there is an increasing about of blood delivered to the tissue providing the needed fuel for your muscles. If during your workout you see a plateau or decrease in hemoglobin concentration, that typically indicates that the source of energy (the O2 in the blood) is starting to taper off. This can be seen in high intensity bursts or when you've pushed yourself beyond your limit for a sustained period of time.
